Presented in conjunction with “Outside New York: The State of Ohio,” the Patiosville Bearniks performed their most ambitious work to date, Patios-A-Rama Part 2 or For Loungers Only, which occurs in nineteen sections and begins with the explanation “that the audience is about to embark on a voyage into the World of Fashion and Luxury, etc.” Indifferent to the gravity and artliness of much then-recent performance work, the Patiosville Beatniks set about presenting an evening of comedy, tongue-in-cheek skits, burlesque and campy episodes, and common tacky American iconic images.
