HALLWALLS: 5 Years
June 30 – July 18 1980
HALLWALLS is an alternative-artists run space located in Buffalo, New York. In 1980, the New Museum sponsored the traveling exhibition “HALLWALLS: 5 Years” that represented thirty artists who had lived in the Buffalo area at one time or another and who had shown work at HALLWALLS between 1975 and 1980. Organized by G. Roger Denson and held at the Parsons School of Design, this exhibition tied together work by artists of varied experience and accomplishment in an attempt to delineate an interchange of ideas, and present an alternate network between artists, galleries, and the public.
