New To Us: Children's Ideas on Museums
June 9 – 30 1984
This first presentation of children’s work at the New Museum featured collaborative projects by students from five classes at P.S. 308 in Brooklyn. The works resulted from Museum-led workshops that were held at the school, and included murals, dioramas, and writing which reflected the creative excitement a museum can offer children. This unusual exhibition was open to the public on weekends only, and was on view in the lobby on the third level of the Museum’s 583 Broadway location.
