Roles in Archive: Artist, Performer

Peter Sciscioli is a performer/choreographer whose work encompasses music (voice and violin), dance, and theater. He has performed in such productions as Mary Zimmerman / Philip Glass¹s Galileo Galilei at the Goodman Theater, BAM, and the Barbican, and in Meredith Monk’s Quarry at the Spoleto USA Festival, Ascension Variations at the Guggenheim Museum, and her Young Artists Concert at Carnegie¹s Zankel Hall. As an extension of that work, he became a founding member of The M6: Meredith Monk Music Third Generation in 2008. Sciscioli has also worked with John Supko (with The Flux Quartet), and with Tigger Benford and Joan La Barbara as a member of Jane Comfort and Company. His ongoing fascination with the voice extends into his work as a choreographer, currently manifesting in a new piece set to Monk¹s Epic, accompanied live by members of The M6. Peter has also composed several original pieces for violin and voice as part of his interdisciplinary works.
