The space on the 5th floor of the Museum for 2009-10 was conceived by Choi Jeong Hwa to serve as an “envelope” for the coming year of Museum as Hub programming. The commission transforms the Museum as Hub space through a dynamic use of color and an innovative use of common materials to create flexible zones for viewing, discussion, and activity. Choi’s diverse practice includes architecture; graphic, industrial, and interior design; art direction; and art making. He lives and works in Seoul.
