Roles in Archive: Speaker
“Ken Farmer is a public programmer and visual arts curator whose collaborative interventions activate urban space. Ken’s dynamic vision and placemaking sensibility have led to innovative collaborations, new works, and site-specific adaptations. Outside of his role with NBNY, Ken works with Project for Public Spaces, consulting internationally to enhance community involvement in public space. Recent projects include a master plan for Abu Dhabi’s Saadiyat Island Marina, and lighter, quicker, cheaper interventions to “previtalize” the Buffalo, NY waterfront. Ken is also a co-founder of DoTank:Brooklyn, a collaborative of urbanists and artists promoting development through small-scale change. Throughout his diverse projects, Farmer remains committed to creating more accessible platforms for artists to engage in shaping their city.”
