Hedia Maron has screened a number of short films in festivals such as the Berlin Film Festival, Documenta, SXSW, Outfest, and London Lesbian & Gay Film Festival, as well as in venues including the New Museum, Tribeca Film Center, Anthology Film Archives, Gene Siskel Film Center, Yerba Buena Center for the Arts, and the Queens Museum. Her editorial work has been seen on national television (promos, commercials, documentary shorts), in festivals such as the Moving Image Festival, and in venues including The Kitchen, Mount Tremper Arts, and MoMA P.S.1. Maron received a BFA in Film/Video from California Institute of the Arts and an MFA in Film from Columbia University. She is currently in production on her first feature, a documentary about her strange and beautiful family, Before Us (beforeusfilm.com).
