Laurie Hawkinson: Blind Approach
April 25 – May 24 1980
Laurie Hawkinson’s Blind Approach consciously manipulated the viewer’s perception of the planar surface of the window glass and the illusionary space of a window as a frame through the use of glass, light, mirrors, photographs and text. The ambiguous nature of the combined use of these materials posed questions concerning the relationship of the viewer to object.
