The public program series Art & Politics II was held in February 1982. Organized with an advisory group drawn from the Museum’s Dialogue Series, the lectures took the format of two speakers addressing topics both directly and peripherally related to contemporary art from varying viewpoints.1 Issues raised pertained to the relationship between the fine arts and the social, political, and cultural climates in which they are nurtured.2 The talks were followed by a discussion period, providing the audience the opportunity to resolve questions raised during the evening.1
